The athlete: Darin is back after a strong sophomore season…scored three goals and added an assist in 2004…begins his third season as a Lion…came to Vanguard from Granite Hills High School in El Cajon, California in 2003…played on three CIF Championship teams…was part of a 56-game unbeaten streak…played under Coach Sami Nedjar…has played soccer for 12 years…plays a very physical game…solid young player with loads of potential…mentally tough…aggressive defender…high energy player who plays hard all the time…has played 38 games in his Vanguard career…will continue to improve as he matures…expect an even stronger junior campaign for DeVore.

The person: Darin was born on February 10, 1985 in Grossmont, California to his parents Terry and Debbie DeVore…has an older sister Stephanie…is studying Exercise Sports Science at Vanguard…likes to eat sushi…sports hero is George Best…favorite teams are Liverpool and Manchester United…favorite place is home…likes the movie “You Got Served”…wears number 15…favorite color is blue…enjoys watching movies and making late night fast food runs…thinks the biggest problem in the world is hunger…likes the depth on his VU team…competing in soccer has taught him that you have to get along with others to succeed…isn’t  sure what career he wants to pursue.
