
Ali returns for his fourth season as a part of Vanguard's Men's Soccer Program, and will also begin his second year as the Associate Head Coach for the Women.
Malaekeh will assist in game-day coaching, design and run daily practices, and play a larger role in recruiting.
Malaekeh's coaching resume' includes stints as an assistant coach at University of Louisville and University of Southern Indiana, as well as extensive club experience. He served on the staff of the Olympic Development Program for Regions II and IV, and has coached with the United FC and Slammers FC.
Malaekeh played collegiate soccer at the University of Southern Indiana, and earned a BS in Communication from USI in 1992. He brings a wealth of experience to the VU staff, and his relationship with Randy Dodge was a major factor in bringing him to work with the Vanguard program.

Ali and his wife Karen attend Saddleback Church, where he is a Men's Ministry Community Leader. Ali has two step-daughters, Chelsea and Malia.
