The athlete: Matt begins his career as a Lion this season…transferred to VUSC from Orange Coast College…played two seasons for Coach Steve Spencer in the Orange Empire Conference…OCC’s Most Improved player as a freshman…earned the Defensive Player Award in 2006…All-Conference Honorable Mention as a sophomore…earned his Associates Degree and a 3.7 GPA at OCC…averaged 10 points, five rebounds, and two blocks per game at OCC…helped Mater Dei High School earn the Division II State Championship in 2003 prior to attending OCC…carried a 3.8 GPA at MDHS…graduated from MDHS in 2004…helped Coach Gary McKnight and the Monarchs win three Serra League Championships…has played basketball since he was ten years old…great basketball build…big pick up for the Lions…brings athleticism and unselfishness to the team…has great defensive skills…will also be counted on to supply some offense in his first year with the Lions…experienced player…should make an impact as soon as he learns the VU system and adjusts to the GSAC competition…expect great things from this solid student-athlete.

Bush…thinks the biggest problem in the world is George W.
