The athlete: Greg transferred to Vanguard University from Hope International…joins the Lions as a sophomore in hopes of making in impact at VUSC…played in 28 games last year as a Royal…perimeter play with great basketball kills…was a two-sport high school athlete at Mission Viejo…earned All-League honors and helped Coach Troy Roelew win the 2004 CIF Championship at THS…also played volleyball in high school…has played b-ball for 13 years…right-hander with good basketball skills and decent speed…will develop as he learns the new system and his new teammates…solid recruit who will be a big asset in the future of the program.

The person: Gregory Scott Gusiff was born in Aradia, California on March 21, 1986 to his parents Thomas and Terri…nickname is "Goose"…has one brother and one sister…will be majoring in Business at Vanguard…sports hero is Earl Boykins…likes to eat steak and watch "Family Guy" on television…favorite movie is "Hook"…likes the color blue and the number 10…spends free time hanging out, playing basketball and volleyball, and being goofy…thinks that poverty is the biggest problem in the world…likes the team unity on his Lion team…competing in sports has taught him about leadership…seeks a successful future.
