The athlete: Curt returns for his third year with the Lions…has progressed as a player and should be ready to have a break-out year…has played in 46 games with VU, primarily bringing size and depth to the post positions and working the boards for rebounds…has worked hard in the off seasons to improve his game…played three sports in high school…graduated from Savanna High School in 2003…played basketball for Coach Steve Bennett in the Orange League…SHS Team MVP…1st-Team All-League…Orange League MVP…All-Tournament team at the Katella Classic…All-CIF SS 2nd-Team…also played baseball and volleyball…has played basketball since he was five…his older brother Marlon played for Vanguard (formerly SCC)…big strong build with good quickness…strengths lie in rebounding and defending…gets better every year…valuable asset to the team…has the potential to make a big impact in his final two seasons…look for Curt to step up as a junior.
