The person: Nolan Victor Steputis was born on July 19, 1983 in Portland, Oregon,son of Kirk and Donna Steputisspent three years as a team manager, will move into an intern position in his fourth year with the program, as he seeks a career in coaching basketball…great asset to the program…graduated from Westside Christian High School in Lake Oswego, Oregon in 2002…four-sport high school athlete…played basketball under coach Rob Meeter…2nd-Team All-League…3.4 GPA…is a senior in the Teaching/Coaching program at Vanguard…has an older brother Kyle who is in the U.S. Air Force…sports hero is Michael Jordan…loves to eat steak and mashed potatoes…favorite flicks are the James Bond movies…likes the TV show "The Simpsons"…loves to read books written by John Wooden…hobbies include going to the beach and playing all kinds of sports…would like to meet Phil Jackson…thinks that selfishness is the biggest problem in the world…has learned from life to be better today than yesterday…sports has taught him that any day could be your last and to always give it your all…thinks the best thing about this year’s team is that they don’t like to lose…wants to become a Basketball Coach, Teacher, and great father and husband.

Coach Wilson's Comments: Nolan is one of the brightest young basketball people around. His love for the game is tremendous and he works very hard. Nolan cares about the team and will make a very good basketball coach some day.
