athlete: Brandon begins his Vanguard career as a junior…transferred to
VU from Victor Valley College…played two seasons at VVC for Coach Tom
Dudgeon…competed in the Foothill Conference, earning two All-Conference
awards…named to the First Team in 2004-05 and Honorable Mention as a
sophomore…VVC team MVP as a freshman…also named Best Offensive Player
for VVC…averaged 10 points per game at the junior college level…scored
a career-high 27 points as a freshman…graduated from Granite Hills High
School in 2004…also played for Coach Dudgeon in high school…GHHS team
MVP in 2003-04…All-Desert League Honorable Mention selection in
2003…made the 2003-04 CIF SS Academic Honorable Mention Team…named to
the Daily Press All-Area Team in 2004…also played baseball in high
school…has played basketball for eight years…big solid frame…great
basketball build to add strength in the paint for the Lions…brings
solid junior college experience…should make offensive and defensive

to his parents Mark and Elaine Henderson…has one sister and two
brothers…nickname is "Big B"…will be a Liberal Studies major at
Vanguard…sports hero is his former coach Tom Dudgeon and his dad…likes
to eat Mexican food…favorite movies are "Pulp Fiction" and "Sin
City"…loves the color blue and the number 45…cheers for the San Diego
Chargers…enjoys playing basketball and hanging out with his brothers
and niece…feels that people who don’t want to work are the biggest
problems in the world…likes how well his team gets along…has learned
from life that things don’t get handed to you…competing in athletics
has taught him to work for what he wants…would like to become a really
good History teacher.
