The
athlete: Bob is in his first year at Vanguard University…came to VU
from J Serra High School where he graduated in 2006…played for Coach
Tom Lewis in the Freelance Conference…received his team’s Most Improved
Player and GPA Awards…carried a 3.4 GPA in high school…holds JSHS’s
record for blocked shots in a single game, with 10 blocks in one
contest…also played three years for the American Roundball
Corporation…has played the game for 11 years…big, strong build…will
bring a solid physical presence to the team…can play the forward or
center positions…will fill whatever role the Lions need while he gains
collegiate experience…also looks to gain maturity and poise during his
freshman season…expect Bob to have a good future at VUSC.
The person: Robert Lee Brakeville III was born on July 29, 1988 in
Orange, California…parents are Chip Brakeville and Donna Rados…has one
younger brother…friends just call him "Bob"…will be a Chemistry major
in college…sports hero is Karl Malone…likes to eat eggs…loves the movie
"Napolean Dynomite" and the television show "24"…favorite place is
Yosemite…prefers the number seven and the color red…likes the book
"Four Feathers"…is a Los Angeles Angels fan…hobbies include playing
computer games, and watching baseball, basketball, and hockey…would
like to meet Jesus…feels that the nuclear arms race is the biggest
problem in the world…likes the unity on his VU team…has learned that
life should be treasured…competing in basketball has taught him to take
risks, but to be patient in life…would like to be some kind of
Scientist in the future.
