The athlete: Ardis begins his third year in the men’s basketball program for Vanguard University…will be a team captain again this year…point guard who had a career high game last year with 21 assists, 18 points, and 9 rebounds for the Lions…led the GSAC last year in assists…good defender who has also gained confidence with his shooting skills over the summer…quick and solid ballhandler who has matured as a player…his leadership will be a key for VU at the point.

The person: Ardis was born in Long Beach, California on April 4, 1979 to David and Ardri Curtis…nickname is “AC”...Business is his major…his sports hero is Muhammad Ali…he likes to eat pasta…enjoys reading, swimming, and spending time with his family…favorite movie is “The Usual Suspects”…favorite place is Los Angeles and he roots for the Lakers…he sees the biggest problem in the world as discrimination and prejudice…he has learned from basketball that communication is the key to success…wants to become a business executive.
