2023-24: Transferring over from Citrus College where he averaged 13.4 ppg/3.5 rpg/1.9 apg in 2022-23, Tello contributed immediately off the bench to begin the season. He scored at least 14 points in six of his first seven games as a Lion, including a 20-point performance against Point Loma. An injury kept his scoring low for the majority of December, but he returned to form with a season high 24-points against The Master's in the first week of January. Arguably his best performance was a 23 pts/6 reb/6 stl/2 ast (10-18FG) effort in 40 minutes against OUAZ - a 3OT loss for the Lions. He finally cracked the opening lineup, starting six of the final seven games for the Lions. Tello slashed .461/.279/.671 on the season for the Lions en route to a 12.2 ppg season.
