The
athlete: Alex officially begins his collegiate career with the Lions
this season…used a redshirt year in 2006…2005 graduate of Trinity
Christian High School in Las Vegas, Nevada…played for Coach Rob Roberts
at TCHS…two-time 1st-Team All-Conference player…two-time Team MVP…set
TCHS record with 45 points in a game…led state of Nevada with 24.8
points per game as a senior…also played basketball for the Agassi Stars
AAU team…has played the game for six years…6’4" shooting guard…good
basketball skills and runs the floor well…took in last year from the
sidelines…used 2006 to prepare for his collegiate debut in 2007…still
needs to gain experience on the court...will be looking to increase his
role this season.
The person: Alexander Stylianos was born in Denver, Colorado on
February 8, 1987…parents are Angelo and Alice Dimotsantos…has one older
brother…goes by "Alex" for short…is a Business Administration
major…sports hero is Andre Agassi…likes to eat steak and
chicken…favorite movie is "Rush Hour"…enjoys watching the TV show
"Sanford And Son"…roots for the Sacramento Kings…loves the color
red…favorite number is 32…is into cars, shoes, and sports
memorabilia…would like to meet God…believes that the conflict in the
Middle East is the biggest problem in the world…has learned in life
that you have to work hard for everything…likes that his team is young
and willing to sacrifice to make the team better…has learned from
competing in basketball to never quit…would like to be a millionaire
living for God.
His thoughts: I came to Vanguard to play basketball in a Christian
environment and against great competition. I love how friendly everyone
is.
