The athlete: Will returns for his third season at Vanguard…redshirted last season…will compete as a sophomore…graduated from Santa Margarita Catholic High School where he played baseball under Coach Tip Lefebvre…named to the first-team All-Sierra League…bats right and throws right…has been playing baseball since he was six years old…saw limited action before a knee injury in 2003…hard working student-athlete…plays second base…will compete for playing time this year…team player who adds depth and versatility…works as hard as anyone in the program…great example of a student athlete, carrying a 3.68 GPA in Pre-Medicine…look for Will to contribute in many ways this year.

The person: William Paul Noble was born on January 12, 1983 in Downey, California…parents are Bill and Susan Noble…call him “Will” for short…is a Pre-Med major…loves to eat at In-N-Out Burger…cheers for the Anaheim Angels…sports hero is David Eckstein…collects sports memorabilia…best thing about this year’s team is that the players work hard…has learned that in order to succeed in life, one must risk failure…sports has taught him about perseverance and how to overcome obstacles …wants to eventually become a doctor.

His thoughts:  Will chose VU because it was a Christian school and he had an opportunity to play ball. He really likes the small classes and all of his professors.
