The athlete:  Sean begins his career at Vanguard this season…second-year player…transferred to VU from Camden County College in New Jersey…played one season for Coach Ken Boullion at CCC…pitched 36 innings, earning 36 strikeouts…2002 graduate of Cherry Hill High School…played for Coach Gary Scarno at CHHS in the Olympic League…was a second-team all-conference choice…All-State Honorable Mention player as a junior…also played football in high school…throws right…bats right…has played baseball for 18 years…confident player…good life to his arm…dirty split-finger fastball…will mostly serve as a middle reliever for the Lions…look for a good debut from Davis.

The person:  Sean Patrick Davis was born in La Jolla, California on June 13, 1984 to his parents Patrick and Debra Davis…has one younger brother who plays basketball…is a Marketing major at Vanguard…junior academically…likes to eat filet mignon…favorite athlete is Emmett Smith…likes to watch “Sportscenter” on television…loves the color blue…roots for Philadelphia Eagles…prefers the number 12 and the color blue…enjoys snowboarding, golfing, boating, and riding motorcycles…feels that poverty is the biggest problem in the world…loves the team work on his VU baseball team…has learned from life to respect others…seeks a career in Business in the future.

His thoughts:  I came to Vanguard because of the baseball team and proximity to the beach.  I love my team and living in California.
