The athlete: Robert joins the Lions after spending a year at San Diego City College in San Diego, CA…graduated in 2004 from Orange Glen High School in Escondido, CA where he played for Head Coach Ken Putnam in the Valley League…was Captain and MVP going 7-4 with a 3.76 ERA while also batting .310 at the plate…also played football and basketball…throws and bats right…has played baseball for 17 years…hard worker…determined reliever.

The person: Robert Russell Lemus was born in Mesa, AZ on May 21, 1986 to parents Robert and Monica…has two younger brothers…nickname is Rob…majoring in Business Administration…likes eating Mongolian stir fry and rainbow sherbet ice cream…favorite movie is “Man on Fire” and TV show is “Family Guy”…likes the color blue and the number 31…roots for the LA Angels…sports hero is Jason Taylor…enjoys working out and sports…most respects his father because he is the hardest working man he knows…learned in life to be honest and stay true to yourself…baseball has taught him that no matter what people say you can’t do, believe that you can.

His thoughts: I selected Vanguard because a friend of mine said it was a good school.
