San Antonio College…named First team All-South Coast Conference in 2001…received a Silver Slugger Award in 2002…third-year player…hard working athlete who helps other players around him better…bats right and throws left…exceptionally quick athlete…excellent defensive second baseman with great range…explosive bat on offense…will make a big presence in his debut season as a Lion.

The person: Robert Cruz was born August 3, 1981 in Lamirada, CA… parents are Alex and Cindy Cruz…you can call him “Bobby”…majoring in Sociology…roots for the Braves… favorite food is ribs…enjoys watching “The Simpsons” on TV…likes the talent on the team this season…sports has taught him teamwork…wants to become a Police Officer.
