Vanguard University

The athlete:  Riley comes to Vanguard after graduating in 2007 from Santa Fe Christian High School in Solana Beach, California…was named Union Tribune All-Academic for Head Coach Rick Aguilera in the Coastal North league…played in two baseball championships and one football…played one year of club baseball…has played baseball for 14 years…bats and throws left…spark plug…good hitter…compact lefty stroke…works hard.

The person:  Riley was born in San Diego, California to parents Terry and Diane on October 26, 1988…has three other athletic siblings…majoring in Accounting…likes popcorn and eating at “In-N-Out”…favorite movie is “The Sandlot” and TV show is “The Office”…likes the color blue and the number 15…roots for the San Diego Chargers and San Diego Padres…sports hero is Albert Pujols…most respects his dad for his perseverance…has learned to live a life with love…career goal is to play professional baseball…baseball has taught him to work hard, focus on goals and be a team player.

His thoughts:  I selected Vanguard for a faith-base education and for baseball.
