The athlete:  PJ graduated from Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, Arizona in 1997…all-league player in high school…played two seasons at Mesa Community College…was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 1998…bats right and throws right…has a immense amount of potential…loves the game and knows it well…serves the team in many ways including his presence on the mound…will fill the role of reliever and is expected to give the team some solid innings.

The person:  PJ was born April 28, 1979 in Saskatoon, SK, Canada to Phil and Gail McKaig…Business major…loves to eat his mother’s lasagna…favorite movie is “The Big Lebowski”…likes the TV show “Friends”…favorite team is the Arizona Diamondbacks…would like to meet Randy Johnson…favorite place is the beach…believes the biggest problem in the world is closed minded people…feels that the chemistry and closeness of this year’s team is phenomenal …would like to be a successful family man.

His thoughts:  Location and the baseball program drew me to Vanguard.  The students, faculty, and my teammates and coaches are extremely friendly.
