Vanguard University

The athlete:  Pete transferred to Vanguard this year to complete his collegiate career…however, an arm injury will force Gundolff to use a medical redshirt season this spring in hopes of returning for 2008…transferred from Armstrong Atlantic College where he played one season…prior to AAC, Gundolff competed two seasons at Sierra College in the Bay Valley Conference, leading the team in home runs both seasons…graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 2003…two-time team captain and three-year varsity player…two-time First-Team All-Conference infielder…throws right…bats left…sure-handed defender…tough, hard-nosed player…battles at the plate…well-traveled, Gundolff brings experience and should be hungry to get back in the game by the time he is healthy enough to help the Lions.

The person:  Peter was born on February 28, 1985 in Santa Cruz, California…parents are Pete and Karon Gundolff…has two brothers…nickname is “Gundhi”…is a Kinesiology major at Vanguard…likes to eat chicken and rice…favorite movie is “The Boondock Saints”…watches “The Ultimate Fighter” on television…loves the color blue…roots for the San Francisco Giants…spends free time in the gym working out or playing baseball…would like to meet Willie Mays…appreciates his new teammates…has learned that life throws curveballs sometimes…playing baseball has taught him to be patient…wants to become a Baseball Coach in the future.
