The athlete:  Nick rejoins the Lions after appearing in ten games off the bench during his freshman season…had a pair of hits including a double in 10 plate at-bats…came to the Lions from Corona del Mar High School…2006 graduate will begin his collegiate baseball career at Vanguard this season…played for Coach John Emme in the Pacific Coast League…named his team’s Most Improved Player…played one season of high school football at CDM…has played baseball for 14 years…bats right…throws right…utility player who can catch or play the infield…has a good approach at the plate…solid receiver and a good defender at first base…smooth swing.

The person:  Nicklaus Christian Peterson was born on August 8, 1988 in San Jose, California to his parents Pete and Danelle…has one sister…friends just call him “Nick”…a Marketing major…loves to eat steak…favorite movie is “Good Will Hunting”…enjoys watching “The Office” on television…likes the color blue and the number 27…is a fanatic of the Los Angeles Angels and his sports hero Vladimir Guerrero…likes watching movies and hanging with friends…most respects his dad because he knows a lot and is a leader…learned in life to remember who he is…baseball has taught him not to get discouraged…career goal is to be happy doing what he does.
