The athlete: Michael rejoins the Lions after making 12 appearances on the mound in 2008 as a sophomore for VUSC…made five starts and was 1-3 with 29 strikeouts in 32.1 innings…spent two seasons over at Cal State Fullerton with Head Coach George Horton and the Titans…First-Team All-League and two-year MVP at Woodbridge High school in Irvine, California under Head Coach Bob Flint in the Sea View League…school record holder for most hits with 142 and holds the single-season record for most strikeouts with 132…also played football where he was three-year First-Team All-League and one-time MVP…has played baseball for 12 years…bats and throws right…big, strong and athletic…good arm…pitcher is primary position…solid defensive first baseman with a chance to hit with power.
