The athlete: Michael joins the Lions after spending the last two seasons over at Cal State Fullerton with Head Coach George Horton and the Titans…1^st-Team All-League and two-year MVP at Woodbridge High school in Irvine, CA under Head Coach Bob Flint in the Sea View League…school record holder for most hits with 142 and holds the single-season record for most strikeouts with 132…also played football where he was three-year 1^st Team All-League and one-time MVP…has played baseball for 12 years…bats and throws right…big, strong and athletic…good arm…pitcher is primary position…solid defensive first baseman with a chance to hit with power.

The person: Michael was born in Glendale, California on August 10, 1987 to parents Richard and Terri…has a younger brother Nick…people just call him Mike…Communications major at VUSC…likes eating at “Outback Steakhouse” and cookie dough ice cream…favorite movie is “Shawshank Redemption” and “King of Queens” is favorite TV show…likes the color blue and the number 21…favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11..roots for the CSUF Titans and Chicago Cubs…sports hero is Josh Beckett…hobbies include bowling, fishing, and poker…most respects his mom because she raised two kids by herself with love and support through everything…learned that life is not fair…baseball has taught him respect without fear…career goal is to never pay a dime of interest on a credit card.
