The athlete:  Keegan embarks on season three with the Lions…appeared in 35 games in 2008 with 29 starts…third on the team with 14 walks while also scoring ten runs with one homer and nine RBIs in 94 at-bats…returns to the Lions for his sophomore season after making an immediate impact as a freshman…started in all 42 games he played hitting .299 with three homers, 18 RBIs and 26 runs scored…came to VUSC from Buchanan High School in Clovis…graduated in 2006, carrying a 3.93 GPA in the classroom and earning the Golden State Seal Merit Award…named his team’s Infield Golden Glove Award as he competed for Coach Tom Donald…helped BHS win back-to-back CIF Division I Central Section Valley Championships…also played for the Central Valley Twins…has played baseball for as long as he can remember…good feet…great hands…talented and versatile defender…bats right…throws right…unlimited potential for the Lions…will lock down third base…clutch hitter…loves to get dirty.
