The athlete: Josh begins his career as a VU Lion this year…comes to VU from Calvary Chapel Redlands…played for Dave Aderlink…was a part of the division six CIF championship team…league MVP…All-CIF player…also played eight-man football in high school…has played baseball for 12 years…bats right and throws right…is a young enthusiastic pitcher…will need a couple of years to develop…this will be a year of hard work for Josh…brings a fresh, enthusiastic attitude to the Lions…the type of player that is willing to put in a lot of work to become the best he can be…a good addition to the Lions’ program...look for Josh to grow this year and develop.

The person: Joshua Alan Reed was born on October 23, 1984 in Fontana, California…son of Alan and Shannon Reed…has one older sister…people just call him “Josh”…majoring in Business…sports hero is Roger Clemens…cheers for the LA Dodgers…loves the TV show “The Simpsons”…favorite food is Thai…enjoys reading the Bible…thinks the best thing about this year’s team is the attitude of the players…sports has taught him that you can always learn from a bad situation…wants to become a Real Estate broker.

His thoughts: I chose Vanguard University because I like the location along with the atmosphere. I also enjoy the people that make up the campus.
