The athlete:  Joshua comes to Vanguard after spending the last two seasons at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, California with Head Coach Jeff Harlow…First-Team All-Conference member and conference champ…batted .349 with 44 hits, three homers and 24 RBIs…played for the Palm Spring Power during the summer of 2008 and hit .362 with ten doubles, a homer and 20 RBIs…All-League and All-CIF selection at Canyon Springs High School in Moreno Valley, California where he played for Head Coach Leon Baham…batted .439, had the most doubles in league and was second in RBIs…bats and throws left…has played baseball for 17 years.

The person:  Joshua was born to parents Joe and Trisha on February 16, 1987 in Glendora, California…has two siblings in the Navy…Kinesiology major…likes eating at “Subway”…favorite movie is “Step Brothers” and TV Show is “The Dave Chappelle Show”…likes the colors blue, black and white and the number 26…favorite Bible verse is Psalms 18:1…roots for the LA Dodgers…most respects his dad for raising him…learned in life to take it one day at a time…baseball has taught him about discipline…career goal is to get drafted or be a strength and conditioning coach.
