The athlete:  Jordan continues with his second season on the field with Vanguard after an impressive freshman campaign…was 2-1 with a 3.24 ERA making four starts in 12 appearances with one save…had 16 strikeouts in 41.2 innings…took a red shirt in 2007 after a solid high school career at Calvary Chapel High School in Costa Mesa…played for Coach Ryan Elliott at CCHS in the Pacific Coast League…named Best Defensive Player…team captain who also won the Coaches’ Award while helping CC win the 2006 PCL Championship and reach the CIF Semifinals…had a 5-1 pitching record and carried a 3.5 in the classroom…has played baseball for 15 years…right-handed pitcher…good mechanics…throws strikes…hard worker with finesse and poise.
