The athlete: Jason is back for his second season with the Lions…batted .353 with 32 runs batted in as a rookie last season…was a three-sport athlete at Novato High School…holds six baseball records at his former high school…two-time 1^st-Team All-MCAL player…bats and throws right…made eight appearances on the mound in 2002…pitched 26.2 innings…started all but three games as a true freshman…another multi-position player for the Lions…strong offensively…competitive as a hitter…looking to top last year…has a potentially great career as a Lion.

 The person: Jason was born on July 2, 1983 in San Francisco, California…parents are Ken and Diane Searle…nickname is “Pup”…majoring in History/ Political Science…roots for the San Francisco Giants…enjoys playing any sports, especially golf…favorite place is Wales…likes the talent on this year’s team…sports has taught him that you get out of life what you put into it…wants to become a high school teacher and coach.

His thoughts: I chose Vanguard University because I enjoy the weather. I like the fact that it rarely rains in Costa Mesa.
