2025 (SADDLEBACK): Derflinger quadrupled his long-bomb total from last season, going yard four times including in the 6th inning of the opener. Again, Derflinger committed an error early in the season (game one in CF), but recovered to not commit one again the rest of the season. After going 2-2 on stolen bases in '24, Derflinger had 26 thefts in his second season only being caught twice. Deflinger only went hitless nine times in 42 contests played, compared to 15 multi-hit games, including five with three to tie his career-high. He also added three more triples to his one he picked up as a freshman. Derflinger finished with 31 RBI along with .298

2024 (SADDLEBACK): Deflinger played in 24 games as a Freshman, batting .254 with eight runs-batted-in and an OBP of .375. He hit his first career homer (and only on the season) against Grossmont on January 30th in just his third career game (3R-HR). Four of his first seven games were multi-hit games, with the last of that streak being a career-high trifecta of hits (3-4, 2B, 2RBI). Derflinger went 2-4 in his finale, his sixth multi-hit game of the season. Defensively, Derflinger only committed one error and it was at the beginning of the season when he was in right-field. He helped the Bobcats win the 3C2A title. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Derflinger graduated in 2023, having lettered in baseball and football. He held a 4.0 GPA en route to being an All-Empire Leage and All-CIF Selection. 




What is one food you could eat for the rest of your life, what is one you would destroy from the earth, and why?
Steak. I would destroy peaches from the earth because I don't like them.

Electrolytes

What is the dumbest way you have gotten hurt?
I broke my thumb and tore the UCL in my thumb while sprinting.
