The athlete:  Eric joins Vanguard after spending his sophomore season at Riverside Community College in Riverside, California with Head Coach Dennis Rogers…was the starting catcher for the “State Final Four” in 2008 and led the team in hitting at .411…was First-Team All-Orange Empire Conference and All-Southern California Team selections…spent freshman season at GSAC’s California Baptist with Head Coach Gary Adcock where he was an All-GSAC and All-Region selection…First-Team All-Conference selection in 2004 and 2005 at Santiago High School in Corona, California with Head Coach Ty Detrinidad…bats and throws right…has played baseball for 15 years.

The person:  Eric was born in Fontana, California to parents Richard and Robyn on September 14, 1989…has an older sister…Sociology major…likes mashed potatoes and eating at “The Chart House”…favorite movie is “The Beach” and TV Show is “Entourage”…likes the color blue and the number 21…favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13…roots for the LA Angels and UCLA basketball…says honesty, integrity and loyalty are the most important characteristics for a person to have…most respects his father…learned in life to always give 100%...baseball has taught him about discipline…career goal is to get drafted.
