Vanguard University

Kevin Kasper begins his third season as the SCC Head Baseball Coach. Kasper has established a foundation to revive the baseball program at SCC. His plan is to have a baseball program founded on discipline and motivation where the student-athletes strive for both excellence on the field and in the classroom. "Southern California College provides me with an opportunity to communicate with and help direct student-athletes to strive for excellence in a manner that brings glory to God".

Kasper is an SCC graduate. He played four very successful years as the Vanguard's shortstop. During his playing days at SCC, Kasper lead the Vanguards to three playoff performances and a trip to the Area Finals in Portland, OR. After graduation, Kasper signed to play professional baseball with the San Francisco Organization. He played five years with the Giants and finished his career in 1993 as the Double-A level. Prior to coming to SCC, Kasper began his coaching career as an assistant at Woodbridge High School in Irvine. 

Kevin and his wife, Amy, live in Costa Mesa. They have a daughter named Alissa.
