Joey Scotvold is in his first season as an Assistant Coach for the Vanguard University baseball program. Joey grew up in Whittier, California, and played high school baseball at La Serna High School. From there, he spent two years at Rio Hondo College, transferring from there San Diego Christian College, where He would face the Lions in 2022 and 2023. After finishing his playing career, Joey started his coaching career at Southwestern Assemblies of God University – AIC in Phoenix, Arizona, primarily working with the infielders for the Warriors.
