2025: UNLV
Byers spread his 10.2 innings across eight appearances for the Rebels. Working out of the bullpen, he was never the pitcher-of-record. He threw a season-high three innings against New Mexico on April 17, striking out four-- also a season-high.

2024: Irvine Valley College
Byers threw his most innings in a single-season for his career at 74 1/3 for the Lasers. His second outing was arguably his best career start, posting a line of 7IP, 7H, 0R, 6K, 0BB. He struckout eight Grossmont batters on February 23, good for his careeer-high. He threw exactly seven innings twice this season, and lasted six or more nine total times. He gave up a home-run for the first time in his career on January 26.

2022-23: Vanguard
2023: Byers made his first appearance of the season in VU's upset win over Keiser (Fla.), throwing an inning and striking out two in a save effort. His second save of the season came in a 2-0 win for Vanguard, with Byers retiring all three via the K. His last appearance of the season came in mid-march, going 1.2IP scoreless in relief before being lifted.
2022: Byers' freshman campaign with the Blue and Gold saw him used 16 times, averaging just about an inning every time. He whittled opponents down with his 1.06 ERA, earning the closer role and eventually a 2-1 record with a team-high four saves. His first career appearance came in a 16-3 loss, going one clean inning along with his first two career strikeouts (the first of which came crooked on the first man he faced). Byers' longest outing was 2IP at The Master's, giving up just one hit with 2K's en route to his first career win. He matched that distance against Hope 20 days later for win number two, with a nearly identical line. Career save number one came at home against Embry-Riddle (Ariz.). He threw 1.1IP  against Jessup in the GSAC Tournament, tabbed with his first loss despite not giving up an earned-run, hit, or a walk.

What is one food you could eat for the rest of your life, what is one you would destroy from the earth, and why?
Steak. I would destroy war and violence as a whole.

What is your record for the game “chubby bunny” or how many marshmallows do you think you can put in your mouth?
I believe I could put lots of marshmallows in my mouth.

What would you give a TedTalk on, even if no one asked for it?
Conspiracy Theories

What is the dumbest way you have gotten hurt?
Breaking my hand and two fingers attempting to jump over a fence at baseball practice.
