The athlete:  Bryce comes to the Lions after being awarded the Pitcher of the Year while at Temescal Canyon High School in Lake Elsinore, California…played for Head Coach Don Kruger in the Southwestern league…2007 League Champs…went 10-1 with a 1.36 in 2006 as a junior…played two years for the Corona Dodgers…bats right and throws left…has played baseball for 13 years…has a plus fastball and outstanding curveball…fluid competitor and polished for a freshman.

The person:  Bryce Allen Reid was born on March 6, 1989 to parents Darrell and Tamara in Fountain Valley, California…has an older sister Celeste…Accounting major…likes eating Italian food at “Olive Garden”…favorite movies include the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series…favorite TV show is “The O.C.”…likes the color blue and the number five…roots for the LA Angels…sports hero is Johan Santana…enjoys fishing and drag racing…most respects his father because he worked hard to get where he is at…learned in life to never regret…has learned about teamwork from baseball…career goal is to play baseball.

His thoughts:  I selected Vanguard to pursue my relationship with God.
