Vanguard University

The athlete:  Bryan transferred to Vanguard this spring from Hutchinson Community College…2004 graduate of Manhattan High School in Manhattan, Kansas…played for Coach Don Hess and was a three-time all-conference player…two-time first-team All-State selection…three-sport high school athlete…also wrestled and played football at MHS…late pick up for the Lions…will add depth to the Vanguard infield…brings in one season of collegiate experience and good skills to the team…primarily a third baseman…look for Miller to see some time on the field in his first season with the Lions.

The person:  Bryan David Miller was born on October 12, 1985 in Fort Benning, Georgia to his parents Mark and Alice Miller…has one older brother who is in the U.S. Army…is undecided on a major at this time…nickname is “Kansas”…likes to eat venison…favorite movie is “Black Hawk Down”…watches “The Simpsons” on television…roots for the St. Louis Cardinals…likes to wear camouflage…favorite number is 18…enjoys hunting, fishing, and surfing…would like to meet President George W. Bush…has learned that he knows little about life…competing in athletics has taught him about attitude and effort.
