The athlete:  Brian joins the Vanguard baseball team from Cosumnes River College…played two seasons at CRC, helping Coach Tony Bloomfield and his team win the Big 7 Conference…graduated from Folsom High School in 2003 before heading off to junior college…played high school baseball for Coach Aaron Agnew…a part of FHS’s 2002 Division II Section Championship…has played baseball for 12 years…competitive player…left-handed pitcher…will play a big role in VU’s bullpen in 2007…above average fastball with a good curve…brings solid experience and veteran leadership capabilities to the team…look for this first-year Lion to see some time on the hill as a junior.

The person:  Brian was born on December 3, 1984 in Sacramento, California to his parents Kathy and Larry…has one brother and one sister…nickname is “Quadrasaurus”…will study Sociology at Vanguard…sports hero is Billy Wagner…loves to eat steak and potatoes…favorite movie is “Batman Begins”…watches the television show “24”…prefers the color black and the number 22…roots for the Oakland A’s…enjoys lifting weights and reaching out to others in need…would like to meet David Wooderson or Jim Morrison…believes that war, oil, and platinum credit cards are the biggest problems in the world…likes the loose environment of his VU team…competing in baseball has taught him about mental supremacy…would like to become a professional baseball player.
