The athlete: Blake enters the VU baseball program from Bishop Union High School in Bishop, California, where he played baseball and football……Blake will redshirt this year preparing for competition in fall of ’04…has potential but needs a year to get ready for collegiate competition…played under coach Lee Tatum in high school…was 2^nd team All-CIF in 2003…has played baseball since he was six years old…bats and throws right-handed…6’1”  outfielder…look for Blake’s hard work to pay off in the future.

The person: Blake Michael Rossi was born on November 22, 1984 in Bishop, California…son of Dean and Donna Rossi…has a brother Scott and a sister Abby…is an Exercise Sports Science major…big fan of the LA Dodgers…sports hero is Matt Williams…favorite movie is “Remember the Titans”…favorite food is mashed potatoes…loves the color blue…likes that the VU baseball team works hard…sports has taught him to work together with teammates…would like to meet the President of the United States of America…wants to become an Athletic Trainer.

His thoughts: I chose Vanguard University because I wanted to go to a small Christian school and VU has a great reputation.
