The athlete:  Andy enters his second season with the Lions…transferred in from Mesa Community College, Arizona and the University of Nevada, Reno…led Arizona Junior College Conference with 24 doubles…bats right and throws right…consistent and steady hitter…strong player who can drive in a lot of runs…brings leadership and an intense presence to the team…expected to have a big offensive year for the Lions.

The person:  Andrew was born in San Luis Obispo, California on March 12, 1979…mother is Frankie Riddell…nicknamed “Duke”…studying Business Administration…looks up to his brother Chris…loves to eat his mother’s cooking…sports hero is Mickey Mantle…enjoys surfing, fishing and batting practice…favorite places to be are at the ocean or on a baseball field...has learned from life that all the little things matter… wants to become pleasing in God’s eyes, a good husband, and a professional baseball player.

His thoughts:  I came to VU because of the tremendous Business Division.  I thoroughly enjoy my business professors.
