The athlete: Andy enters into his fourth and final year as a Lion…played in 12 games as a junior…recorded 18 at bats…gives the Lions a lot of depth off the bench…produced a .818 fielding percentage in a limited role in 2004…graduated from El Modena High School in 2001 where he played baseball for Coach Steve Bernard…was a Century League All-Star…bats right and throws right…has a solid glove and can play a few positions…has a great attitude and works hard daily…succeeds in the classroom…his unselfishness brings strength to the Lion program…look for Andy to finish his collegiate career strong.

The person: Edward Andrew Freeman was born on June 19, 1983 in Fountain Valley, California…parents are Fred and Rosemary Freeman…goes by “Andy”…nickname is “Rooney”…has two younger brothers, Phillip and Freddie…pursuing a major in Business Administration…roots for the Buffalo Bills and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim…sports hero is Shawn Green… likes to watch the TV show “CSI”…enjoys watching movies and hanging out with friends…best thing about this year’s team is the new coach and a new start…baseball has taught him to be patient…person he would like to meet is George W.
