The athlete: Andy enters his third season with the Lions…played in 13 games as a sophomore…recorded a .880 fielding percentage in 2003…graduated from El Modena High School in 2001 where he played baseball for Coach Steve Bernard…was a Century League All-Star…bats right and throws right…has a solid glove and can play a few positions…looks to compete for more playing time this year…played in all but 10 games as a freshman…has a great attitude and works hard daily…his unselfishness brings strength to the Lion program…look for Andy to have a productive year.

The person: Edward Andrew Freeman was born on June 19, 1983 in Fountain Valley, California…parents are Fred and Rosemary Freeman…goes by “Andy”…nickname is “Rooney”…has two younger brothers, Phillip and Freddie…majoring in Accounting…roots for the Buffalo Bills and the Anaheim Angels…sports hero is Trent Green… likes to watch the TV show “Friends”…enjoys playing baseball and hanging out with friends…feels this year’s team is young and talented…baseball has taught him to continue even if you fail…person he would like to meet is George W. Bush…wants to become an Accountant.

His thoughts: I selected Vanguard University because it’s a small campus and has a good Christian environment where you can share your faith. I appreciate the friends that I have made here.
