Biography

Parents: Ashley & Dan Galvanoni

Birthday: April 23, 2004

2024: The best way to describe how good Galvanoni was this season is the fact that she has the honor of being VU's first All-PacWest member, being named to the Second Team in the postseason awards. Galvanoni increased virtually all of her numbers from a season ago and led the team in kills and points. She hit a career-best .309 hitting percentage and dominated at the net with 48 total blocks, which was the second-most on the team. That resulted in her collecting her best blocks per set rate at 0.53. Her dominance was further evident in the fact that she had more games where she hit over .400 than she did sub .200, an impressive feat that included a single-game best of .536 at Point Loma on Halloween. The most kills the opposite had was 18, which happened in back-to-back games in the early part of October. Of course, one of Galvanoni's most important kills came at the end of the first rally in the new Freed Center where, after a lengthy back-and-forth, Galvanoni rocketed the ball to the ground to send the crowd into a ear-shattering frenzy as they celebrated the first-ever point in the arena.

2023:  Hitting .235 in her second year, Galvanoni had 166 kils and a 2.41 kills per set rate in 24 matches.  She was part of a strong rotation of hitters for the Lions as they cruised through the GSAC and she complemented her swings with 25 block assists and one solo rejection.  She had a big game in the second contest of the year against Oregon Tech, blasting down 18 kills, though her best hitting day game at home against La Sierra, when she hit .500 with 12 kills and one error on 28 swings.  In the NAIA National Tournament run, Galvanoni had 35 kills over four games, with 12 coming in the last game against Northwestern (Iowa).  She also posted a season-best five block assists against Saint Katherine two games earlier in the event.

2022:  Playing in every match as a freshman, Galvanoni had 130 kills in her first collegiate season.  She hit .167 and had 1.69 kills per set ratio.  She made a good impression at the front of the net, as she assisted in 33 blocks, including a season-high four at the HIU Tournament against Dordt (Iowa).  Galvanoni had four games with at least 10 kills, with her best coming against Life Pacific on the road, as she netted 12 kills.  She also had six digs against Evergreen state as a season-high.
