The athlete: Adam joins the Lions for his freshman year from Liberty High School in Bakersfield, California…played for coach Rob Amble in the South East Yosemite League…received the conference MVP award…All-Area Team member…has played baseball for 14 years…bats right and throws right…also competed in gymnastics in high school…freshman with a lot of athletic ability…will compete for a starting position this year in the outfield…brings a pleasant approach to the game…works very hard on and off the field…great addition to thr program and will contribute a lot over the years to come…look for Yoder to have a solid freshman season.

The person: Adam Everett Yoder was born on November 6, 1984 in Iowa City, Iowa…son of Roger and Dixie Yoder…has two brothers, Luke and Dale, and a sister Hannah…nickname is “AY”…undeclared major…sports hero is Alex Rodriguez…favorite TV show is “Baseball Tonight”…loves to eat waffles…roots for the Seattle Mariners…likes to read the Bible…best thing about this years team is the positive attitude and willingness to work hard…learned that the most important thing in life is your relationship with Jesus Christ…competing in athletics has taught him that dedication pays off…wants to become involved in church ministry.
