LONG BEACH, Calif. -- The first Pacific West Conference Player of the Week for men's soccer in 2026 has been awarded to Xaiver Alcantar.  The freshman tallied two goals for the Blue and Gold on Saturday afternoon, scoring in each half in the 3-2 victory.  Alcantar scored on an individual effort in the first half to put the Lions ahead, and his penalty kick goal in the second frame leveled the score at 2-2.  His first collegiate points move Alcantar into a tie for the team lead in goals, and he is the second POTW in the program's PacWest history.
