The freshman also made it a pair of gold medals with a win in long jump (18' 4¼"), as Vanguard women's track and field claimed 10 medals at the annual OIDFE Challenge, Saturday at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Eight other Lions also had standout showings to place themselves within the top-10 performance list in program history.

Megan Charley's first-place finish in the 600m (1:35.83) marked a new personal best, the third-fastest time in program history, and the second time this season she's taken top spot in the event.

VU's highest finisher in the 60m dash was Elizabeth Betten, who penciled in at 7.91 for a fourth-place spot and top 10 run in program history. It also eclipsed her previous personal best by .13 seconds. Betten also took gold in the 200m dash, coming in at 25.79 in the first heat.
