LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Ella Murray has another Pacific West Conference award to add to her resume, as the league announced that she was the Co-Runner of the Week today. Murray was honored alongside Jaina Kang of Biola, with Murray netting her second Runner of the Week honor after getting her initial reward roughly a year ago (October 7). Murray won her first collegiate race on Saturday at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational, becoming the first female winner for VU in three years. Her time of 21:49.6 was her second-fastest time of the season, and she had an 18-second lead on the runner placed in second. Murray has been under 22 minutes in all four races this year and now has back-to-back finishes inside the top 10. With one race left before the PacWest Championships, Murray and the Lions are getting faster at the right time.
