LONG BEACH, Calif. – Vanguard's second year in the Pacific West Conference concluded with two more All-Conference honors as
Adeline Galvanoni and
Kayla Robinson were both selected as members of the 2025 All-PacWest Team released on Wednesday.
Galvanoni, who became women's volleyball's first All-PacWest Conference player last year, repeats in 2025, as the senior becomes the first Lion to earn a spot on the tight 12-player All-PacWest First Team list.
Kayla Robinson collected her first All-PacWest honors, claiming a spot on the second team to close her junior season.
Galvanoni, an opposite hitter, appeared in all 97 sets for VU, finishing second on the team in total kills with a career best 305 kills and ninth in the conference in kills per set at 3.14. She also hit .282 across her 26 matches and was eighth in the league in points per set at 3.48. Defensively, Galvanoni posted career numbers, ending the season with 56 digs, 59 blocks (third on the team), and three solo blocks.
Galvanoni set her career-high 21 kills against Azusa Pacific on November 7, hitting .528 (21-2-36), which tied for the sixth-highest kill count in a four-setter in VU's program history. Her lethality in attack also extended to more left pin hits this season, leading her to 17 double-digit kill performances, including four in a row twice within the season. She forged two errorless nights, first in the season opener against Regis hitting .588 (10-0-17), and then in early October with a .368 (7-0-19) performance at APU. Galvanoni concludes her career with the Blue and Gold as the 11th all-time leader in career kills (868), attack percentage (.260), attempts (2,356), and career points (959).
Robinson, a middle blocker, exploded in her junior season to head toward All-PacWest honors. Robinson nearly doubled her kill count from her sophomore season, putting up a career best 175 kills. Her dominance in the middle could not be ignored, as the third-year player led the conference in hitting percentage with a .428 percentage (175-30-339), a clip that ranked fourth in the nation. It also pushed the Lions to finish with the best hitting percentage in the conference (.258) and boast a top 20 hitting rate in all of NCAA D2. At the net, Robinson was also tough to handle defensively. She was third in the league in total blocks (112), second in blocks per set (1.15), and fifth with solo blocks at 12. VU went on finish tied first in the PacWest in blocks per set (2.20) and were 13-3 when Robinson tallied four or more blocks.
Robinson's new career-highs were set in back-to-back games, as she kicked off November with a career-high eight blocks against APU. She followed her defensive showcase with a red-hot performance against Westmont six days later, going for her career-best 14 kills and seven digs on a .542 (14-1-24) rate in attack. It was the fourth and final double-digit kill match of the season, the most in a single year for the middle thus far. Robinson was errorless on eight separate occasions in 2025 and only swung sub-300 in seven of her 26 matches. She capped off the season with a combined point total of 239, another career-best margin.
