LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Jordin Holmquist-Wilder became the first Pacific West All-Conference player in program history today, as she was voted to the Third Team by the coaches. This is her second career all-conference honor, as she was awarded a Golden State Athletic Conference laurel in 2022, her first year at VU.
In her final year of competition, Holmquist-Wilder started all but one game for the Lions and collected 3.86 saves per game. She had 54 saves in total, which was sixth in the PacWest, a 1.185 goals against average, eighth in the league, and a .771 save percentage, good for fifth in the conference. Her stout play meant the Lions conceded only 16 goals with her in net, with the squad finishing fifth in the conference in goals allowed overall (17 in total). In addition, the Vanguard keeper notched three clean sheets in 2024. Her best performance was at home against Point Loma, as the reigning champions put the Lions under siege in the contest. But Holmquist-Wilder made 10 saves to keep the Sea Lions at bay in an eventual 1-0 defeat where the Blue and Gold displayed a lot of tenacity.
Holmquist-Wilder finishes her Vanguard career with 175 saves, 16 shutouts, and a record of 17-20-8. Her 54 saves in 2024 were the second-most of her career. She completes her time at VU with a GAA of 0.96 and a save percentage of 0.774. The goalie collected 16 clean sheets over three years and had a high of 13 saves against Hope International on the road, helping the squad earn a 3-3 draw.
