2025 Baseball Schedule Release

COSTA MESA -- Vanguard baseball has solidified its schedule for the 2025 spring season that begins at the end of January.  It will take just 15 days for the program to commence Pacific West Conference action and the six games of the nonconference portion of the schedule will be one of the shortest in VU history.  But the campaign will still be bountiful for the Lions, who will have 50 games between January 31 and April 26.  The Vanguard faithful will be pleased to hear that 32 of those games will be on Dean Harvey Field, giving you plenty of chances to check out some NCAA Division II baseball.

Key Games
  • vs. Cal State LA - Jan. 31
  • at CUI - Feb. 14
  • vs. CUI - Feb. 15
  • vs. Point Loma - Feb. 21
  • vs. Biola - March 28
  • vs. Westmont - March 26

  • PLNU won the conference with a 25-6-1 record in the league and beat Cal State Monterey Bay to reach the NCAA DII Championships, where the Sea Lions went 1-2.

Notes
  • The Lions will play Cal State LA (23-27 in 2024) and Cedarville (14-37) out of Ohio before PacWest play begins.
  • VU will be home for 10 of its first 12 games, with the first road trip being to CUI on February 14.
  • The PacWest plays four-game series in conference play and with local schools, the doubleheaders are split between the two campuses.
  • Because of distance, the Blue and Gold will host Fresno Pacific, Hawaii Hilo, Menlo, and Jessup for all four games.
  • The Lions will fly to Hawaii for four-game sets against Chaminade and Hawaii Pacific over April 12-19.
  • The last series of the season sees the return of the Vanguard vs. Westmont matchup, with the final two games of the year happening on the Dean Harvey Field on April 26.
  • Vanguard is eligible to win a regular-season championship in the PacWest and receive conference awards but is not eligible for national rankings or postseason play.
