HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – Vanguard beach volleyball improved to 6-0 on the season with a pair of sweeps over The Master's and San Diego Christian on Saturday at the Magnolia Street Courts.
The Lions concluded Round Two of Golden State Athletic Conference play with a 3-0 mark, and extended their regular season winning streak against conference opponents to 28 straight matches, dating back to the 2020 season.

The Lions got their first win from the No. 4 pair Bailey Coffin (JR/Tustin, CA) and Madison Arnold (SO/Chatsworth, CA), who took down Breanna Brooks and Ellie Niehus, 21-9, 21-16.
VU picked up its second point at the No. 2 spot in the lineup. Emma Galloway (SO/Del Mar, CA) and Hannah Wilmes (FR/Thornton, CO) went the distance against Kassidy Wilson and Violet Avila, notching a 21-11, 15-21, 15-11 victory.
Clinching the match victory was the powerhouse pair of Conley Harris (SR/Brea, CA) and Morgan Nash (SR/Tucson, AZ). The duo remained unbeaten on the season with a 21-11, 21-13 victory against Annika Booker and Evi Yates.
The final two wins came at the fives and threes.
Fives pair Chloe Knudson (SO/Coeur D' Alene, ID) and Jacqueline Majors (SO/Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) took three sets to down Isabela Rodriguez and Ellie Unruh in a 21-13, 15-21, 15-13 decision. Wrapping up the win was Emilee Hall (SR/Redondo Beach, CA) and Madi Nash (SR/Tucson, AZ), as the threes pair battled to a 26-24 set one victory, lost the second set 21-16, and routed Chloe Johnson and Zoe Kira 15-4 in the third.
The Lions improved to 7-0 all-time against the Mustangs.

Vanguard won four of the five contests by sweep dropping the Hawks to 0-8 on the season. The Lions won in the same order as its match with TMU.
Arnold and Coffin picked up their second win of the afternoon with a 21-8, 21-14 triumph over Anuhea Kaohi and Brianna Martindale at the fours. The twos followed as Galloway and Wilmes toppled Megan Flores and Eliana Cho, 21-12, 21-11.
Harris and Nash clinched the victory at No. 1 with a quick 21-9, 21-13 win against Thea Snider and Katie Call.
Knudson and Majors earned a 21-13, 21-15 triumph at the fives over Cynthia Salas and Natalie Hill, while Hall and Nash battled to a 21-19, 10-21, 15-11 victory over Kayli Barrera and Teresa Ochoa at No. 3.
VU is now 4-0 all-time against SDCC.
Why Is It Important?: After winning by 3-2 scores in three of its first four matches, the Lions got victories from everyone in the order in back-to-back contests.
What Was Said?: "Windy and cold seems to be the So Cal way this year…and it's inspiring to see how the ladies handle the challenges," said Head Coach Kris Dorn. "Each match is a new uphill battle. Love how each match allows us to improve from the previous set."
What's Next?: The Lions continue their run through GSAC play with another conference battle next Wednesday against Life Pacific. The two teams battle at 10:00 a.m. at the Brookhurst and PCH courts.
