LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Vanguard had two of its volleyball teams honored by the American Volleyball Coaches' Association, as the women's indoor and beach squads received Team Academic Awards.  Both teams were on the list last year, with the indoor program sitting on eight inclusions over the past nine years.  The indoor side had a 3.66 cumulative mark at the end of the year and had the second-best GPA in the department in the spring, while the beach group had a 3.69 cumulative score, third in the department at the end of the year.    There were 1,432 total teams honored in 2025-26 that maintained a GPA of at least 3.3 throughout the entire year.  The award has been running since the 1992-93 school year.
