Vanguard University

The athlete: Tomacita played soccer and tennis at Taos high school prior to attending Vanguard. She returns this year with one season of collegiate tennis experience. She has a good backhand and a solid all-around game. She will be fighting for the number six spot in the lineup. Her consistent skills make her a good team player with leadership capabilities.

The person: Thomas Sita was born on October 21, 1979, in Taos New Mexico. Her parents are Joseph and Sandra Martinez and she is studying anthropology. Her sports hero is Jim Thrope and she loves to eat Italian food. Her favorite TV show is Fraser and she feels that the biggest problem in the world is that there are too many orphans. Playing tennis has taught her to have patience. 

Her thoughts: I came to Vanguard because of the Christian environment. I also love the location.
