Vanguard University

The athlete: Lindsay is a third-year player for the Lions and had a 10–11 record last season in the number one position. She is fired up for another good season and has good groundstrokes as well as being an experienced player and a solid athlete. She will be the captain this season and a great team player with natural leadership skills.

The person: Lindsay was born on April 2, 1979 in Bakersfield California to her parents Cleat and Bonnie Doyal. She is studying sociology at Vanguard and her sports hero is Michael Jordan. She likes the movie Love and Basketball and her favorite TV show is Friends. She feels violence is the worlds biggest problem and Tennis has taught her to accept failure, and thrive on success. She wants to be a social worker. 

Her thoughts: I chose Vanguard because I wanted to play tennis and grow spiritually. I like the teachers in the small school setting
